Bill Hicks Biopic!
by gatsome on Aug.19, 2008, under Movies, Work
Finally some news I can truly be excited about. Anyone who knows me in real life (which is undoubtedly no one reading this) can vouch for where Hicks ranks in my list of heroes. Although that in itself is a rather small list anyways, thus making it even more prestigious. For anyone unfamiliar with Bill Hicks here is his Wikipedia entry. (pops)
The man behind the chain smoking, politically driven, vulgarto the Nth degree Hicks will be Russell Crowe. The Sydney Mornign Herald quotes Crowe, “I have another project based on the life of comedian Bill Hicks, which is going from treatment to draft stage with Kiwi writer Mark Staufer.” And while Crowe wouldn’t be my very first choice to play Hicks, I have faith he can pull it off.

Monster, White-Out Ninja and Jones Girl

I don’t know what else to say other then this 32 oz Monster is everything its name implies. To show the gargantuan size I’ve employed the trusty White-Out Ninja to stand next to it for size reference.

The beautiful thing about these is they aren’t inside jokes, which I’m frequently burdened with having. Unfortunately I accidentally deleted my pic folder in a finger slip, mis-highlighted type of end user error the other day. I shift + deleted it too from which there is no turning back, so it’s going to take time to scour the internet for my collective amateur works. (Both items open to their full versions in a new window)
What the fuck?

This was the scene outside of work today. A prospective employee in for an interview took advantage of our excellent availability in handicapped parking. Unfortunately for coworkers and sidewalk lovers alike, the closest possible spot just wasn’t close enough. Now I’m not in HR and I’m certainly not up on my discrimination laws… but I’m not hiring this lady on the grounds of whatever you call this travesty.
