I decided it was long overdue for a new look. The old one was certainly pretty bland, at least to me.  Obviously what you see now is subject to slight modification but maybe with this reinventive streak I’ll add some additional useful insights on top of it.

I also installed a forum and am in the process of getting that completely set up. I really don’t expect alot of participation but I feel like it has more use then commenting, at least for me. I’m definitely one who would rather post in a forum than on someone’s website so maybe there’s a lot of other people like that out there.

Easy enough to remember incase you need to go there directly. Guidelines and appropriateness are practically nonexistant as well so go wild.

Rather then sift through the mountain of spam comments (double digits every single day) I decided to implement a text validator to save me alot of time and to also help the small amount of you who might’ve been sifted into the spam section. I’ve caught some before but I could very well miss one on any given day. There’s not a mountain of comments incoming but if this holds up I’ll enable on the fly posting instead of having everything marked for approval. I know it’s a pain in the ass to figure out what a difficult letter actually is on some of these but simply hitting the refresh button will give you a new, and hopefully easier one.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but it was either you or me. Let’s face it, there’s only one option I’m going to pick in that scenario.

Aware of the missing images. Something odd happened when I mapped the gatsome.com domain over to WordPress so I’m trying to sort it out. If they are all unrecoverable (years worth) I’m going to be a pretty sad sad panda.

Just a word of caution, always back up your shit! I think I did back it up too, so I’ll have to do some searching.

Due to my personal demands for organization I’m going to make a grand attempt at staying on the preferred topics from now on. Of course this has a backdoor escape as I’ll also have a Miscellaneous category as well.

Subject to change on a whim the following will be the primary categories for this site (in no particular order):

• Movies/TV
• Books
• Politics (yes I’m going there)
• Technology
• Work (password protected)
• Miscellaneous

My ultimate hope is to turn this into something I could find reading myself if I knew of its existence. My only concern is being up to the task and being on the ball, otherwise half the shit I want to say won’t be relevant. After all, what’s the point of voicing yourself if no one wants to listen.

Switching from Blogger’s services over to WordPress because it looks nicer and has better options. Oh and I can access it from work (for the time being) and has a mobile application for the iPhone that makes it really easy to update without having computer access to the internet. Giving it a field run for free and might map my entire domain here later on (costs $10, those bastards).
